Why are there privacy issues on web2.0?
‘Web2.0 refers to what was perceived as a second generation of web development and web design’. As web2.0 is bringing an increase of peer to peer interaction sites like Youtube, Wikipedia, Myspace and Facebook have become incredibly popular, these sites are also known as ‘cool sites’. As more people have joined Facebook especially, this has brought the issue of privacy. Facebook have pushed for changes that will ‘set a new standard in user control’, another goal is clearly getting users to share more information publicity. The purpose of this is to make searches with Google and Bing more valuable. This means far less privacy for Facebook account users most not knowing how public their accounts have become.
